Our club is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide. Below are the projects in which we are currently involved:
Members are urged to participate in our club’s projects, which currently include three major fund-raising projects: a chili supper in the fall, the Good Friday Prayer Breakfast, and the Kiwanis Golf Outing in the summer.
The chili supper has been a tradition of our club since we were organized in 1967. Proceeds from this event fund most of our community service requests.
Proceeds from Good Friday Prayer Breakfast and the Kiwanis Golf Outing are currently focused on supporting the Kiwanis Pediatric Chaplain’s Endowment Fund for the UIHC Children’s Hospital.
Community Service includes but is not limited to:
Serving Salvation Army Meals
Ringing Bells for the Salvation Army
Helping the VNA by doing paperwork for their Flu Shot Clinics.
Assisting students at the Johnson County Financial Literacy Fair
Registering and helping kids at the 4H Kiddee Tractor Pull
Set up and tear down for the Midwinter Special Olympics Games.
